General FAQs

For children we have a specific 3+ range that is CE marked and safe for children to play with. The vast majority of the items we sell are unsuitable for children under the age of 14 due to the intricate nature of the products, and are designed for adult collectors only.

No, in order to keep prices low we do not produce a catalogue for all of the products on our website. We do however stock the Streets Ahead catalogue which contains the Streets Ahead and Dolls House Emporium ranges and it is available to purchase through our website.

Please note: Our telephone is generally unmanned and you will be asked to leave a message. We review our telephone messages once a day and aim to get back to you within 48 hours (excluding weekends and bank holidays). The fastest way to get a response is via email or online. We aim to respond to emails and online contacts within 24 hours (excluding weekends and bank holidays).

Yes. However, our website will only allow one voucher to be redeemed during checkout so if you have multiple vouchers that you would like to use to pay for a single order then there are two options:

1) Checkout and pay for the order just using one voucher and email with the codes of the other vouchers you would like to use and the order number of the order they should be redeemed against. We can then redeem them manually for you and refund the corresponding amount to the payment method used to pay for the order.

2) Checkout using the "Pay by Cheque" option on the website and then email with the voucher codes you would like to use and the order number of the order they should be redeemed against. We can then redeem them manually for you and issue a PayPal invoice for any outstanding balance due, which can be paid securely online.

Firstly, you need to decide whether wired lighting or battery lights ( or a combination of both) is right for you. Battery lights are a simple and fast way to add ambience to your rooms, but each light needs to be turned on and off individually. Wired lighting is more complicated to install but has the benefit of being able to be turned on and off room by room.

We have a huge range of battery lights and can supply all the electrical components required for a wired installation including lights, fires, and accessories. Our wiring guides provide techniques and tips to use when adding lighting and fires to your dolls house.

Due to shipping regulations, we are not able to ship liquids outside of the UK.

Shipping FAQs

UK Shipping

UK Shipping is charged at just £3.95 per order with FREE shipping on orders over £50.00.

Dolls houses and other heavy items are shipped free of charge to UK mainland addresses but customers in Northern Ireland and the Highlands and Islands should contact usfor a shipping quote before placing an order.

If your goods are required urgently we recommend upgrading to Express Delivery during checkout which is charged at £6.95. Any order placed before 12noon will be shipped on a next working day delivery service (subject to stock availability).

Please note that delivery instructions added to your order cannot be acted upon. Our carriers, and their agents where applicable, will not guarantee to meet specific instructions and we are unable to pass them on. If you are unable to accept deliveries for any reason, we suggest that you place your order with a delivery address where it can be accepted. If any parcel is returned to us because of failure to deliver (except where the fault is clearly ours or the carriers), we will make a charge equal to the cost of postage plus VAT which will need to be paid before re-sending it.

Please be aware that unless you discuss and accept a priority delivery service, we are unable to guarantee delivery times. In addition, we are unable to investigate delayed deliveries for 21 days (UK) though in many cases delayed items are actually at local sorting offices so you should check at your local office if your order hasn't arrived within 7 days. Please note that at busy times (particularly near Christmas), deliveries can take longer than usual, so please order in plenty of time.

International Shipping

Shipping is FREE to the USA on orders over 60USD and to Australia on orders over 100AUD. This offer applies to parcels up to 2kgs and excludes all houses and buildings. Orders under these amounts will be charged at 12USD to the USA and 15AUD to Australia.

Other International orders up to 2kgs in weight cost £6.95, but larger or heavier orders are subject to individual shipping quotations - please email us at to check before ordering. Please note that dolls houses, basements, conservatories, plasterware, varnishes, stains and paints may not be available to non-UK customers except when carried by specialist carriers or when packed in extra packaging. We will not generally supply these products Internationally except by special arrangement and subject to extra charges.

We can and do deliver to most countries around the world, on every continent. If you have any concerns about delivery to your address please email us at before placing your order.

Standard Delivery: We aim to send all orders out within 24 hours (excluding weekends and bank holidays). Orders to the UK are sent with either Royal Mail48 or Parcelforce48 and should arrive within 2-3 working days (Mon-Fri) from the date of dispatch.

Express Delivery: If you upgraded to Express Delivery at checkout and placed your order before 12 noon (Mon-Fri) your order will be delivered the next working day next day, subject to stock availability. If you placed your order after 12 noon or during the weekend your order will be shipped the next working day. If you require a weekend delivery slot please email and we will discuss contact you with what options may be available for your order.

Order FAQs

In the event of a faulty item, please contact us before returning the product, as often we may be able to send a replacement without you having to return the faulty product. Any unwanted items must be returned within 28 days, be in their original packaging, unused and undamaged. We reserve the right to not refund returns if they do not meet the returns criteria. Refunds do not include Postage and Packaging costs.

Please note that UK and EU customers may exercise their rights under the UK Distance Selling Regulations to return any order for a full refund including any P&P originally charged if the entire order is returned within 7 days of receipt. Please note that return postage is still the customer's responsibility.

In the event of a faulty item, please contact us before returning as different return conditions may apply. Please ensure all packaging is retained as this may need to be examined.

Unfortunately we are unable to edit the contents of an order after it has been submitted.

We do not put price stickers on our products so the indiviudal items in your parcel will not have prices on them.

We will only send a packing slip out in the parcel containing the order, no prices will be displayed on this document.

For international orders we package deliveries in weights less than 2kgs, so if you have placed an order that is heavier than this, you will receive more than one delivery.
