Dolls House Snow & Water

Materials needed:

• White flocking powder (for snow effect)
• Acrylic gloss medium
• Blue food coloring
• Clear silicone sealant
• Paintbrush
• Small bowl or cup
• Toothpick or small stick

For Snow Effect:

1. Paint the desired area with the acrylic gloss medium. This will be the base for the snow effect.
2. Sprinkle the white flocking powder onto the wet gloss medium.
3. Gently tap the area to remove any excess powder.
4. Allow the snow effect to dry completely before moving on to the next step.

For Water Effect:

1. Mix a small amount of blue food coloring with clear silicone sealant in a small bowl or cup.
2. Use a toothpick or small stick to blend the color and sealant until they are fully mixed.
3. Apply the mixture to the desired area where the water effect is to be created.
4. Use the toothpick or small stick to create ripples or waves in the sealant mixture to give it a more realistic water effect.
5. Allow the water effect to dry completely before moving on to the next step.

Tips:

1. You can add small objects like pebbles or twigs to the water effect to create a more natural look.
2. You can also use different shades of blue food coloring to create a more realistic water effect, such as darker blue for deeper water and lighter blue for shallow water.
3. If you want to create the illusion of melting snow, mix some white flocking powder with water and apply it to the snow effect to create the look of melting snow.
4. Remember to be patient and let each layer dry completely before adding another layer to prevent smudging or running. With a little bit of patience and practice, you can create beautiful and realistic snow and water effects in your dolls house!
