- Another great resultAnother great result. Now done 3 Biedermeier kits and plan to do more as collector items. I had no black gloss paint for the little posts so used existing Matt acrylic. When thoroughly dry I used a ‘tough’ clear top coat nail varnish - it has worked well. Extra smooth finish to the items achieved with very fine manicure sponge-backed files. Wax applied with cosmetic sponges to avoid streaks.
