- The scale is very good for 1The scale is very good for 1:12. I'm trying to use on a Victorian door - it isn't easy. These were not meant to be used as butt hinges. If you are trying to do this, be patient. The hinge is in two pieces. Turn one piece around and use it that way. You'll need to cut into your door/doorway at an angle. It can be done! Be patient!
