- I made these books for my libraryI made these books for my library, and they turned out very nice. Be sure you have a small saw as well as a craft knife to cut the wood for the thicker books. I used metallic paint on the wooden “pages” to simulate gold leaf. There are numbered sets like real antique volumes—they look great on my bookshelves.
