Very bad product. The backing is so sticky that it doesn’t peel away without ripping the wood. Do not buy.

I purchased this flooring for my dollhouse, primarily because of its affordable price. Unfortunately, my experience was less than ideal. The biggest issue was with the coating on the back, which has a high-gloss, waxy finish that doesn’t peel off as expected. This made it nearly impossible to glue anything to the surface—trying to do so only caused the flooring to buckle and ruined my templates.

In the end, I had to tear everything apart and sand most of the backing away just to get a surface that could hold adhesive. I eventually resorted to double-sided carpet tape and cutting new templates, which worked better but still wasn’t perfect.

While the final result looks okay, it required a lot of extra effort, and I would not recommend this product due to the issues I encountered. I won’t be purchasing it again

So I THOUGHT this would be similar to the very great bare wood strip flooring or the other one w/ the natural color. This is wood is SO thin and really cannot be lifted "by the plank" like I so desired. There is some sort of black adhesive on the back that prevents separation. You need to really use this as one sheet or cut it. Don't buy this...better to buy natural and stain yourself.
